Modula Trailblazers in Warehouse Automation Solutions

Modula has been at the forefront of manufacturing excellence since 1987, with its extensive expertise in warehouse solutions and automated material handling. Its solutions are specifically designed to maximize productivity, achieve higher throughput, and enhance worker safety and ergonomics, making them a valuable asset for businesses across a wide range of industries in the APAC and beyond.

In today’s competitive business landscape, many companies face significant challenges when optimizing their warehouse operations. From space and capacity constraints to rising labor costs and the need to comply with regulations, businesses need practical solutions to stay ahead of the competition. This is where Modula comes in.

Through its vertical automated storage solutions, Modula helps businesses optimize warehouse spaces. The Modula Lift, in particular, is a standout product that maximizes the use of vertical space and saves up to 90 percent of floor space compared to traditional alternatives. It can handle two to three times more tasks than manual operations, and its real-time inventory monitoring and integration with ERP, MES, and robotic solutions help create a technologically efficient ecosystem.

The solution also excels in its user-friendly design, with an intuitive interface and visual picking aids that make it very easy to use. With only a few hours of training, users can become proficient in its operation, reducing downtime and increasing over all efficiency. Modula Lift offers 12 standard picking stations that can be customized to meet each customer’s specific needs, providing a high level of flexibility and adaptability. It can also handle loads ranging from 250 to 990kg per tray, with varying depths and lengths, ensuring that businesses can easily store and retrieve items of various sizes.

With the rise ofe-commerce and the increasing need for fast and accurate order fulfilment Modula Lift’s capabilities are more important than ever. It helps to reduce errors, increase throughput, and meet the storage demands of the booming e-commerce industry while keeping costs under control.

Modula also offers a range of niche solutions designed to meet the specific needs of different industries and applications. These specialized solutions include refrigerated, cleanroom, and pallet machines, and OnePick-a version of Modula Lift with a special picking bay equipped with a Cartesian robot. For organizations new to automation with limited space Modula Slim is a smart alternative to old-fashioned vertical carousels. lt leverages the advantages of vertical lift module (VLM) technology with a reduced footprint.

Our solutions are designed with a goods-to-person approach to prioritize the maximization of the efficiency in the operations while improving the well-being of employees. We adhere to strict labor safety and ergonomics guidelines, assuring a safe working environment for all.

Its dedication to customer satisfaction through an experienced customer care team also sets it apart in the global market. It has helped the firm build a reputation for excellence in the industry, providing confidence to clients in using Modula’s solutions.

In one instance, Amer SpA, a firm that develops and designs AC and DC motors, gear motors, steering systems, and drive systems for vehicles, wanted an automated solution to move parts between sections in one of their production facilities. They were already using Modula vertical lift modules in other production capacities. The plant requiring full automation needed an integrated system of automated storage, retrieval solutions, and automated guided vehicle (AGV) robots.

A Modula ML75 vertical lift module was implemented to receive raw goods from a autonomous mobile robot (AMR)and store them until another AMR retrieved them for completion. This fully-automated system streamlined their production and shipping processes, and brought about a smart process innovation.

Continued investment in R&D allows Modula to remain at the cutting eage of innovation in material handling automation. As warehouse automation becomes increasingly prevalent due to diminishing space, worker scarcity, and the need for environmental sustainability, Modula is committed to providing top-notch products and services with its strategically located manufacturing centers.
