Modula Fire Fighting

Modula FF: the fire fighting system

There are various ways to extinguish a fire, but mainly about four factors in the “tetrahedron of fire”, the combination of which results in the chemical reaction that causes a fire.

There are four methods to put out a fire:

  • Fuel reduction or isolation
  • Oxygen reduction or isolation
  • Heat reduction
  • Blocking the chain reaction of the four factors

The mechanism in Modula’s fire-fighting solution is based on a condensed aerosol of potassium carbonate. It mainly involves the fourth factor in the fire tetrahedron via chemical reactions with flame-free radicals, thus interfering in the combustion process.

Modula fire fighting system uses one type of toxic-free extinguishing agent, which consists of very fine solid particles (diameter of less than 10 micrometers). Compared to other extinguishing methods, it remains in the air much longer and leaves less residue in the protected area. When the particulate matter (aerosol) density near the flame is correctly sized, extinguishing is very effective.
